Breathalyzer

A Breathalyzer or a Breathalyser is a tool for approximating the amount of alcohol in the blood stream. It can also be used to ascertain different types of viruses or diseases from the breath of the person undergoing the test via the tool. The instrument gets its name from the generic trademark of the breathalyzer.

This instrument does not measure the blood alcohol content directly required for the analysis of a blood sample. Rather it gives an approximation of the alcohol amount in a person’s breath. The breathalyzer is a small hand held instrument manufactured everywhere but there are Breathalyzer Manufacturers in Canada also. Though these instruments are not fully reliable but they are useful in preliminary diagnosis.

The handheld unit manufactured by Breathalyzer Manufacturers uses the electrochemical platinum fuel cell analysis commonly used in fields as the “field sobriety test” and the test is called “preliminary breath test” or “preliminary alcohol screening”.
